French Angelfish Diet
The diet of the french angelfish closely mimics that of the queen angelfish. These two angels are also found in the exact same area so it is not surprising. They are both collected and commonly encountered by scuba diver throughout the Caribbean.
As such, French Angelfish roam their large territories in search of corals, sponges, crustaceans that are small enough to fit in their mouths as well as a wide variety of algae types. Macro and micro algae are both fair game.
In captivity, the best foods you can offer french angelfish are a mix of the items mentioned above. You can buy them individually for feeding or you can buy the angel formula by ocean nutrition. Very balanced, angel formula has been designed with the needs of large angels in mind.
