My husband and I are new parents.  We just had our first son about a month ago.  He is so precious and such a wonderful baby.  We decided that for our parent’s Christmas present this year that we would have our son’s picture taken and frame it up and that would be their gift.  We found a children’s photographer in Chicago and set up an appointment. We were to pick out a background and a couple different props.  I am excited to have our son’s picture taken by a professional.  I hope it woks out the way we hope it does.

So, what is lupus? Lupus is an inflammatory disease that can have its impact in many of our body parts such as our hearts, kidneys, skin and lungs. There are four types of lupus and these are systemic lupus erythematosus, neonatal lupus, discoid lupus erythematosus, and drug-induced lupus erythematosus. I needed to make a few bucks to pay off some debt that I had so one summer I thought I would start up a part time pressure washing business. What followed was not something I saw coming. I first starting knocking on doors to ask for work but that was not taken well. So I made up some fliers and sent them out to a nice subdivision that I live near. I received one call and did not close the job. I spent over two hundred dollars per month all summer on a yellow page ad that produced two phone calls all year and zero jobs. I finally landed a job through a friend for his Dad. It was a house wash. It took my almost 15 hours to complete it and I charged the guy three hundred dollars, hardly worth it but that was the going rate for a house his size. I struggled to get jobs the rest of the summer. Most of them were through acquaintances that I think pretty much felt sorry for me. I thought I was being professional but obviously the public did not view me as that. The jobs I did were very tough and barley paid my expenses. At the end of the pressure washing season I basically made enough to pay for my fuel, rented equipment, and my yellow page bill. Not what I had in mind.

Last night I got a phone call from my old friend Tony. Tony and I went to school together at the university of Minnesota many years ago. He majored in finance and   majored in Biology. Tony said that he was taking a little time off from his job and was going to be coming out to visit relatives. He said that his main work building is getting a commercial bat removal done and that he was going to close up shop for a couple of days. He said that he looks forward to coming out to visit everyone because he needs the break.
